Thia Walker manages the Agricultural Education branch of AgSkill, Inc. She holds a Master's degree in Plant Pathology from Colorado State University. Upon graduating in 1984, she worked for the CSU Plant Diagnostic Lab until relocating to SE Colorado where she was the regional entomologist working on Integrated Pest Management of pests found in dryland cropping systems. In 2010, she returned to the CSU campus and assumed the position of Extension Specialist for Pesticide Safety Education. She retires from CSU at the end of 2020 and will continue to provide continuing education and WPS training.

Continuing Education for Colorado Licensed Pesticide Applicators
Thia Walker provides in-person and live, online recertification opportunities for pesticide applicators licensed through the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) Pesticide Program. All continuing education credits provided are approved by the CDA.
Worker Protection Standard (WPS) Worker/Handler Training
The Federal Worker Protection Standard (WPS), implemented by EPA in 1992, requires agricultural establishments to provide safety training to workers and handlers when working in fields treated with pesticides. Thia can provide EPA-approved worker or handler training and help with agricultural employer compliance.
